Lately I have been fascinated by the concept of abundance, and what it really means. I have become more and more aware of what happens to me when I begin to entertain thoughts of lack. My energy tightens up, and I experience less wellness, less openness, and more doubt and fear.
So I decided to have a look at what was wrong with my concept of abundance. I discovered that I was doing three things which just didn’t serve me – and perhaps most of us do the same. Do you
(1) Limit your idea of what abundance “looks like” - by having a narrow definition in your head, which focuses to a great extent on … money ?
(2) Compare what you “have and don’t have” with others ?
(3) Focus on the direction of the flow ?
I know I do at times.
So now, my definition is much much wider. I have stopped limiting my ideas about how abundance manifests in my life - to the extent that the money is now only a side issue - the real focus is on maintaining my openness and trust.
Secondly I have no need to compare – ever !
And thirdly, its not about how much I am “getting” ( acceptance, money, love, peace, joy etc.) – Its about how much is flowing through me – in both directions ! For instance, if I want to receive more joy , then I need to give more joy - the same goes for love, peace, contentment etc. When I allow whatever flow is happening to be totally ok, then my judgment stops, my heart opens up - and it becomes even more effortless ! This way I am focusing on what works -rather than any lack - and my energy resonates with that, allowing me even more energy to do the things I really want to do : )
May you be abundant in all things that serve you
